Not sure where the naming convention comes from (never bothered to google for it) but my Thunderbird does it too. But FYI for "Bulk Mail" is the name outlook uses correspond to the server spam folder named "spam" in the webmail. You don't show Bulk Mail in your outlook folder list in the picture. Well at least the definition of "subfolder" is cleared up! And to hammer home the definition if mouse over one of your folders in the webmail, e.g., TestATT, and click the little downward pointing triangle on the right of the highlight, you see a drop-down menu of commands, one of which is "Create subfolder", i.e., a folder whose parent will be, in this case, TestATT. I interpreted the top area of webmail as 'frequent' or 'popular' items and everything below being the full inbox, including subfolders. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for clarification.

A few minutes later, from my inbox.errorĪT&T support wanted me to call Microsoft for help!?!? (Gee.I wonder if I could ever get through.and if they'll say it's an AT&T issue?) If I change to a sub-folder inside of my inbox and hit send/receive, the mail flows. If I'm on my inbox and hit send/receive, I get the 0x800CCC0E error. After that, I have to repeat the above steps. If I close outlook, then re-open it, mail flows THE FIRST TIME. I have 2 other mail accounts in outlook (gmail and exchange account) and both work fine, every time, without fail.I CAN receive mail via outlook.just not every time.but this seems irrelevant because mail does come though. Have verified all settings between outlook and ATT site multiple times, including all ports, SSL, etc.I just have to jump through hoops that I shouldn't have to in order to get mail to flow. I realize this is an issue with Outlook but it's an issue between Outlook AND AT&T because the mail IS flowing and does come through. I've seen other posts on this but no answers/solutions. The only way I know I have new mail is my phone notification will go off.but nothing comes to outlook.

I work from home some days and see it happen all day long. The problem is that it keeps dropping the connection/timing out/going to sleep throughout the day. First- I CAN connect to webmail and all settings are correct because I CAN receive email via outlook.
